Phil's goal is to make you feel comfortable and confident. He has collected answers to some of his most common questions to help prepare his clients.
Wear what you feel comfortable in and have been complimented on! We find that White, Grey, Charcoal, Black, with Navy, Purple, Green, Light Blue often work well for Business colors. We want you to shine and we do not shy away from any outfit choices that showcase your favorite colors or fashion. Tailored outfits that aren’t wrinkly or bulky are great for headshots. Check out what others have worn by clicking the instagram icon in the website footer and see what you like. One suggestion is to avoid red if photographing outside in natural light. If you are looking for variety we suggest bringing a blazer or sweater that you can easily layer on top of your existing outfit. Additional fees may apply for secondary outfits.
Your session fee depends on the length of session you choose, prices are displayed on each session page. While the content of the sessions may change depending what you are looking for, the prices are all time based and not based on session content. Also keep in mind that after your shoot you will be able to purchase your images separately! Images are $30 / image with Every 5th Image Free! With our system, you can purchase as many or as few photos as you would like so the cost is in your control. Many of our clients purchase some images as soon as they receive the Proofs and come back to the gallery to purchase more weeks or months later!
Our booking system is currently only Credit Card compatible.
However we can accept e-transfer and cheques, which are subject to an additional $50 administration fee.
From the time you walk into the Studio our team is hard at work to get you your images as quickly as we are able to. Within four days of your session you will receive an email with your Proofing Gallery link. Purchased Images will enter the editing queue in the order they were received. Our current timeline for delivery of the final images is two - three weeks from your image purchase date.
All Images purchased are available for Instant Download. If you have selected custom editing with our Live Editors Expedited Final Image delivery timelines are available depending on the current Studio volume. Each RUSH image is subject to a $50 fee and has a 5 day turnaround, rather than the usual 1-2 weeks. (From the time payment is received). To inquire about RUSH availability please send us an email!
That is up to you! Once your session is complete, you will receive a link to your session gallery. At that point you can choose to add retouching if you would like it, or instantly download the image, your choice!
Basic Enhancements are included in every purchased image and include; background cleaning / skin, wrinkle, shine softening / mild eye and teeth whitening.
Usage rights are only granted to the person who pays for the session. If you would like to have additional images taken for you to purchase please have your employer send you an invite to share the Proofing Gallery from your session. (Please note you will need to create a Photosyncro account to view the Gallery)
You can reschedule your booked time to another time on the same booking day. Rescheduling can be done using the “Reschedule this session” link in your booking confirmation email. (Reschedules are subject to same-day availability).
If you want reschedule to a different day, you must cancel the appointment and book a new one.
Cancellations are subject to a $25 cancellation fee.
How do pet sessions work? Book your appointment with a $25 booking fee. Attend your Pet session and complete your session fee payment via credit card. Four days after your session you will receive an email with your Proofing Gallery link. You are in control of selecting the images you love with our easy-to-use Proof and Purchase System. Once you have selected and purchased your images then they enter the editing queue in the order they were received. Our timeline for delivery of the final images is two weeks from your image purchase date.
Can I bring multiple pets? Yes. There is a $50 fee for secondary pet in a 15 min Session. Alternatively, book two back to back sessions to ensure that both pets can get comfortable in front of the camera. Multiple pets must be from the same household.
Why does Phil prefer photographing one pet at a time? To ensure the clarity and sharpness of your Pet’s face. When adding a secondary Pet to a portrait there is increased probability of one Pet being out of focus.
What background will my pet be photographed on? Pet Portraits are photographed on our signature white background. We also offer a charcoal grey background if requested.
Where is the studio located? 4640 Manhattan Rd SE, Calgary.
Is there free Parking? Yes. Please park in our parking lot and enter under the Profile PopUp studio sign.
